The Battle of the Bulge was a fight between Germany and the US, UK, Canada, and Belgium. It was fought in Belgium, France, and Luxemburg "In December 1944, Adolph Hitler attempted to split the Allied armies in northwest Europe by means of a surprise blitzkrieg thrust through the Ardennes to Antwerp." (history.com, Battle of the Bulge). This attack caught the Allied Powers by surprise. According to ushmm.org, Battle of the Bulge, "Despite taking dreadful losses, US forces managed to delay the enemy sufficiently to permit reinforcements to be moved into position to halt the German drive." That allied powers were able to stop Germany short from their goal. There were a total of 100,000 Germany casualties and 80,000 ally causalities and later resulted in an Allied victory because this wasn't the first time the Germans had tried Blitzkrieging the allied powers during World War II.
